An unofficial FIRST competition, this event is traditionally held at a Southern New Hampshire High School the weekend before "Bag Day" to allow teams a practice environment to test out their new robots. It also allows teams a sneak peek at what their opponents have created to compete in that years' game.

Our first official FIRST competition for the season was the Granite State District (GSD) Event. Held during Week 1 of competitions, 39 teams from all over the northeast came to compete at the event, including Team 885 "The Green Team", our sister team.

Achievements

In the qualifying matches, we started off strong and by the end of the first day of the competition was placing 7 out 39 teams with a 5-4 (win-loss) record. As qualifying matches ended on Day 2, we ended up with a 6-6 record, sliding us down to 17th place. Despite this, we were chosen by the 8th seed to be on their alliance. Facing the 1st seed in the quarterfinals (best 2 out of 3), we were eliminated.

Despite the loss, Team 811 was highly honored to receive the District Chairman's Award. This award recognizes a FIRST team that goes above and beyond to embody the FIRST spirit in all aspects of their team.
